série Tissés (2022)

Série abstraite et poétique née de la rencontre entre la lumière du fil métallique tissé et de l’aquarelle. Deux matières simples qui se parlent l’une à l’autre, qui se répondent en associant le naturel au précieux, produit par les éclats dorés du métal en fonction de la lumière posée dessus. Les fils du tissage sont volontairement laissés apparents pour faire parler le côté indocile et délicat de l’action de tisser. Ils viennent dessiner, sculpter et contraster la couleur laissée par le pinceau d’aquarelle. Ils illustrent aussi une forme de poésie de l'imperfection (wabisabi).

Les couleurs du tissage vont du doré au noir en passant par le rosé, le cuivré, l’argenté. Les couleurs de l’aquarelle sont douces dans une recherche au plus proche des teintes produites par les pigments fournis par la nature ou la cuisine (pelures d’oignons, peau ou d’avocat, chou rouge etc).

Abstract and poetic artwork born from the encounter between the light of woven metallic threads and watercolour. Two simple materials that speak to each other, that respond to each other by associating the natural with the precious, produced by the golden sparkles of the metal according to the light placed on them. The threads of the weaving are deliberately left exposed to show the stubborn and tricky side of the action of weaving. They finaly draw, sculpt and contrast with the colour left by the watercolour brushes. They also show the poetry of the imperfection defined by the wabisabi movement.
The colours of the weaving range from gold to black, through pink, copper and silver. The palette of the watercolour is sof,t in a search as close as possible to the colours produced by the natural pigments provided by nature or the kitchen (onion peels, skin of avocado, red cabbage etc).
Work on white paper 300g/m2.
